Land Acknowledgement

Alchemy Divergence Coaching works with humans from across Turtle Island, and is operated out of Treaty 7 Territory, in Mohkinstsis (Calgary). This land is the traditional and current home of the Blackfoot Confederacy, the Tsuut’ina Nation, the Stoney Nakota, and the Metis Nation of Alberta, Districts 5 and 6.  This land acknowledgement is not an end in and of itself, but represents the beginning of the work of reconciliation and justice.

Alchemy is committed to anti-colonialism in everything we do. To us, this means recognizing the ways that we continue to benefit from the structures of colonialism that are both historical and ongoing, making an effort to detangle from these structures, and acting in solidarity with those who continue to experience oppression and violence at the hands of settler states.

We hold that our liberation is necessarily tied up with the liberation of all those who experience oppression at the hands of systems that give more power to certain groups over others.  This includes but is not limited to humans indigenous to Turtle Island, members of the global majority, queer and trans humans, and humans who are disabled by the systems we live in. We are committed to honouring the leadership of those most affected by this oppression.
